Welcome to all visitors, both here on the web and at our fly-ins and special events. We invite you to come and visit us at one of our Sunday flying days at Pelican Park and Murrarie (please refer to the Club Calendar for the flyin days), or to one of the Regional Kite Festivals held throughout the year.

We hope you enjoy our website, particularly photos of Past Festivals and the members pages. For those interested in looking for a kite plan or more information about kites in general, please look under the Links section for more information.

Promotional Events Catered for.

The club owns its own Teddy Bear Kite and Giant Flowform, as well as lots of kites owned by club members, which means the club can really put on a great display.
For further details about the Committee and Regional contacts and our kites, please
visit the Contact Pages.

Extra Information for Members and Guests...

The Club meets regularly on the 2rd and 4th Sunday every month at our regular Flying Field, Pelican Park on the Redcliffe Peninsula, Brisbane, just north of the Hornibrook Bridge and on the 4th Sunday every month at Murrarie Recreation Ground, Wynnum Road, Murrarie.

We also have an irregular 5th Sunday Kite Fly on the beach at Stumers Creek
just north of Coolum on the Sunshine Coast.

Here is the QKS Handout (PDF) we give to people explaining about the club (including membership form).
It is printed on both sides of one page then folded into three.

A Fact sheet has been created for members wanting the dimensions for the Members Kite Arch. Members are invited to make one or more panels and hand them to Anthony Thyssen to incorporate into the Club Arch.

Club members are also encouraged to be 'Blue Card' Holders.
