After last year it was a relief to have good weather, while I'm sure we all wished for a few more knots of breeze, it was enough tho' to get a few things up in the air and put on a good display.

Luckily for us, kite flying anywhere isn't without it's share of minor dramas, one foil lifter was intent on making itself more aquainted with the Surfclub's Radio aerial and then the rescue delta was seen with it's lines not too far from the Poi's of the Polynesian display group.

Later on in the proceedings one of the bees also tried to make a run for it. It was flying quite happily with it's tether wound in the trees along the beach, but a rescue mission was in progress before the first drink of the day could be finished.
Sadly the advertising for the festival could have been better, we have seen better attendance over past years, but still, an enjoyable weekend all the same and with the light winds there was a successful display.
